Abstract |
Poly(n-isopropylacrylamide) (PNiPAAm) is one of the stimuli-responsive polymer, which respond to temperature. PNiPAAm has lower critical solution temperature (LCST) at 32-34 ℃, which is near the normal human body temperature. Therefore, it has been used for many fields in sensing, drug delivery, tissue engineering, and so one. However their application has been limited because of their relatively slow responds time to solution pH changes, toxicity, and very stable to decomposition. To overcome this problem, PNiPAAm-based copolymer has been synthesized by many researchers. In this study, we synthesized the poly(NiPAAm-co-acrylic acid) (PNiPAAm-co-AA) polymer and characterized it using infrared spectroscopy. The details of this study will be discussed in this presentation. |
