Abstract |
The guanidine derivative (9,13b-dihydro-1H-dibenzo[c,f]imidazo[1,5-a]azepin -3-amine hydrochloride) (1) is a fat cell stabilizer commonly used in eye inflammation caused by an allergic reaction. It is an optional H1 receptor antagonist which does not cross the blood brain barrier. Herein, a series of guanidine containing nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) conjugates were synthesized based on coupling of different NSAIDs such as aspirin and salicylic acid with 1. Additionally, synthetic approach to other conjugates containing γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) (neurotransmitter) and gabapentin (anticonvulsant agent) moieties as linkers as well as their biological evaluation are also in progress. |
