Abstract Studies on the synthesis of metal-organic frameworks using multifunctional ligands have been carried out in different ways in expectation of various structures and properties. The functional group of the ligand is a site capable of binding to the metal, and improves the possibility that various functional groups can form various bonds and structures. 3-Amino-4-hydroxybenzoic acid contains three different functional groups, and its structure through bonding with metals is not well known. To synthesize a new structure, the metal-organic framework was combined with various metals and successfully synthesized using Zn2+ and Co2+. The structure of the new metal-organic frameworks forms a repeating structure of 8 and 4 coordination of the metal. Create a long channel through structure expansion. The gas adsorption capacity was expected in the resulting channel, but there was little adsorption to N2 and O2. However, it exhibited adsorption performance against H2O and CO2. Especially, metal-organic frameworks using Co2+ showed better performance than Zn2+
