Subject Synthesis, and properties of trimers with aromatic heterocyclic compound

Abstract In this work, we compared two types of trimers synthesized in our laboratory. One is a trimer substituted on both sides with thiophene and the other is a trimer with both substituted selenophenes. We compared the factors related to the conductivity of two trimers. The structure of the compounds was identified by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and FT-IR spectroscopy. We also posted each UV-vis absorption, cyclic voltammetry(CV), photoluminescence(PL) spectra for the synthesized compounds. Through this work, we can check the efficiency of each trimers and it is expected to be applied to the photovoltaic devices, organic solar cell, organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), organic field effect transistors (OFETs), and electrochromic devices, etc.
