Vinyl- or amino- functionalized mesoporous MCM-48 were synthesized by co-condensation of vinyl triethoxysilane (VTEOS) or 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APTES) with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), respectively. The range of n(VTEOS)/n(TEOS) and n(APTES)/n(TEOS) showing 3D cubic structure in the XRD pattern were (0.00~0.10] and (0.00~0.03], respectively. Raman peaks of vinyl-MCM-48 appeared at 1607 cm-1, 1410 cm-1, 1280 cm-1 and 3010-3100 cm-1 were interpreted to the vibration of (Si)-CH=CH2, scissoring of CH2=, rocking of ?CH= and stretching of =C-H, respectively. It was proved that the vinyl functionalized MCM-48 was successful synthesized by co-condensation method in the wider range of n(VTEOS)/n(TEOS) than the case of amino functionalized MCM-48. The fact was explained as the long chain of APTES inhibited the formation of a regular mesoporous structure.
