TiO2 is a wide band-gap semiconductor that can produce powerful oxidations and reductions by absorbing photons. Besides, due to its low cost and good chemical stability, it has been widely studied. TiO2 has high recombination rate of electron-hole pairs formed in photocatalytic processes. In order to overcome this limitation, many studies have been devoted to the improvement of photocatalytic activity of TiO2 by depositing noble metals. Ag is considered as the relatively cheap noble metal and Ag loaded TiO2 can enhance the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 effectively according to the previous reports. In this study, we fabricated Ag dopping TiO2 powder. The obtained Ag doped TiO2 was characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The photoactivity of the prepared materials was evaluated by the conversion of methylene blue in aqueous solution under UV irradiation.
