In the present study, we prepared naphthalimide derivatives as CO2
sensors based on fluoride or cyanide recognition. Among the various anions, these probes showed selective colorimetric and fluorescence changes with F-
. Moreover, they can restore their original color and fluorescence after the bubbling of CO2
. In particular, one of our CO2
sensors detects CO2
through its reversible sol-gel transition. So these distinct “On-Off-On” changes proved that our probes can be used for this anion-activated CO2
