We prepared various tetrazole-thiolato complexes of Pd(II), Pt(II) and Au(I) from corresponding transition metal alkyls or azides with organic tetrazole-thiones {S=[C{HN4(R)}] or organic isothiocyanates (R-NCS). Reactions of dialkyl Pd(II) or Pt(II) complexes with tetrazole-thiones progressed to afford corresponding tetrazole-thiolato M(II) complexes at room temperature or thermal conditions according to the transition metals. In contrast, reactions of Pd(II), Pt(II), and Au(I) azides with organic isothiocyanates (R-NCS) smoothly underwent to afford corresponding tetrazole-thiolato complexes, depending on the organic substituents. Chemical properties toward the bis(tetrazole-thiolato)Pd(II) complexes with allyl bromide or acidic halides were examined. Experimental detail will be discussed.
