Ambient PMs (particulate matters) pollution has been widely regarded as an important environmental risk factor, contributing to tremendous disease burden, health and economic loss. Various air filtration techniques have been reported to improve indoor air quality. Among the reported and developed methods, air filtration technique using adsorption is considered the most efficient and effective way. Since sponge is a porous bulk material that can be easily surface-modified by various coating nanomaterials and chemical treatments, the sponge has been broadly used by numerous research groups. We report cylindrically arrayed air filters with multi-holes for high removal efficiency and low pressure drop.
