Organic semiconductors have been intensively investigated during the past 20 years because of their potential applications in many areas, such as field-effect transistors (FETs), light-emitting displays, and photovoltaic cells. Although the field-effect mobility of OTFTs is still lower than those of the inorganic thin-film transistors, the advantages of easy manufacturing and processing make them suitable for selected commercial applications, such as electrophoretic displays. Over past ten years, a significant progress has been made with respect to the performance of organic semiconductors such as improving their charge-carrier mobility and stability. Herein we report that unsymmetrical oligothiophenes have been prepared considering fabrication of OTFTs with high performance and stability.
