Supramolecular chemistry is defined as the chemistry of non-covalent interactions. These intermolecular interactions are of direct relevance to many biological events. The way nature has mastered the art of ordering large number of molecules into functional systems depends upon these interactions. Over the last decades, chemists have learnt to manipulate receptor molecules by using synthetic skills. These synthetic systems may not only mimic biological systems, but they may also surpass them in both biological and abiotic applications. Within this context, selective recognition and sensing of phosphorylated biomolecules are the important challenges in supramolecular chemistry. To achieve this goal in abiotic receptors, the alignment of receptor binding sites on a receptor platform must achieve complementarily-binding interactions towards a targeted guest. As part of our ongoing studies on simple and easy-to make receptors system, here we present the phosphorylated biomolecules binding studies of flexible receptors containing various sub-structural units.
