Human cytochromes P450 are important proteins which are getting wider attention because of its importance in the drug metabolism, biosysnthesis and degradation of xenobiotics. To date, there are 57 human cytochromes P450 and 58 pseudogenes have been identified. Although there has been tremendous increase in particularistic knowledge of cytochrome P450, only limited information available orphans few are exists. Recently 13 members of human cytochrome P450’s were found as orphans, especially from family 4. Therefore, we have chosen one of the orphan family 4 members 4A22 which has no structural data. We constructed a homology model based on the template structure (PDB: 1TQN). In order to reveal the substrate of the protein and to study the protein-substrate interaction, we have carried out molecular docking with few possible substrates and performed molecular dynamics simulations. The results of the molecular docking and dynamics simulations will be discussed in detail.
