A simple and reliable method of open tubular molecular imprinting polymer is presented that uses S-ketoprofen as the imprinted molecule along with the functional monomer, cross-linker, initiator and porogenic solvent. The capability of the prepared polymer to recognize and to bind the template selectively was evaluated in both micro-liquid chromatography (µ-LC) and capillary electrochromatography (CEC).The influence of various factors such as pH of buffer, organic modifier content and inlet pressure were systematically studied. Baseline separation was obtained under optimized conditions with the resolution and selectivity of 4.7 and 1.6, respectively, and the column efficiency of R-ketoprofen and S-ketoprofen were 31400 and 10022 plates /m, respectively.
