바이오리버트는

시스템스바이올로지(systems biology) 분야를 개척한 카이스트 바이오및뇌공학과 조광현교수가 창업한 교원창업기업입니다. 암과 노화의 가역치료(reversion therapy)라는 개념을 최초로 제시하고 이를 구현하기 위한 다수의 first-in-class 신규타겟들을 확보하고 있습니다. 그리고 시스템스바이올로지 기반의 체계적인 타겟 발굴 및 검증을 위한 모비딕(MObyDiCK) 플랫폼을 개발 중입니다. 이는 단일세포 멀티오믹스데이터 기반의 분자네트워크 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 분석 프레임웍을 AI기술로 고도화시킨 딥테크 플랫폼입니다. 모비딕플랫폼을 통해 발굴되고 실험적으로 검증된 항암 및 역노화 신규타겟들의 저분자화합물 및 유전자 치료제 개발에 도전하고 있습니다. 메디톡스벤처투자와 파트너스인베스트먼트의 시드투자 후 후속투자를 유치 중에 있습니다. 또한 2023년 5월부터 중소벤처기업부의 딥테크 TIPS 과제(3년, 15억)를 수행 중에 있습니다 (https://www.etnews.com/20230707000148).

최근에는 유한양행을 거쳐 미국 얀센에 기술이전 된 레이저티닙(3세대 EGFR 저해제)의 원개발사로 유명한 오스코텍과 바이오리버트가 보유한 2종의 신규(first-in-class) 항암가역타겟인 BRVT121(간암)과 BRVT221 (폐암)에 대해 항암가역치료제를 공동연구개발하고 추후 사업화하기위해 계약을 체결하였습니다 (http://www.hitnews.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=43314).

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects within discovery, provide scientific expertise, guidance, and strategy to successfully bringing programs to target-to-candidate drugs.
• Lead in coordination and preparation of study reports and project presentations
• Provide expert level guidance in designing and implementing small molecules/gene therapy (e.g. ASO and AAV) and related development
• Decide high-level updates and advice with senior management, including evaluation of data and their potential impact on drug programs and clinical/regulatory strategy
• Lead (directly & indirectly through projects), develop and retain a high-performance team focused on developing therapeutics. Provide development opportunities and mentoring to the team

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field
• 10+ years (at least 7+ years in medicinal chemistry) of experience in a drug discovery setting (biotech or large pharma) of relevant industry experience in a biopharmaceutical setting with extensive experience leading drug discovery project teams from target validation to IND-enabling studies.
• Deep understanding of preclinical PK/PD/efficacy relationships and their translation to the clinic
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with an enthusiasm for participating in a fast-paced environment characterized by rigorous science and innovative thinking
• Significant experience leading strong multi-disciplinary teams focused on drug discovery
• A team player and mentor, who listens effectively and invites response and discussion. A collaborator who communicates in an open, clear, complete, timely and consistent manner
